Abstract
Speaker recognition or speaker identification is one of the applications in the field of digital speech processing or speech recognition. Speaker recognition is a process of identifying the individual on the basis of the individual's speech characteristics. This technique will enable the system to verify the identity of the claimed person accessing the system based on the given speech information. The project is to design and develop a speaker identification system using a method called the Linear Predictive Coding (LPC) and Dynamic Time Warping (DTW). The implementation of the design is done by using MA TLAB as the programming language. The performance of the system is then be evaluated by performing text dependent speech recognition on Bahasa Melayu commands. A Computer programming integrated with a LEGQ robot which then will be operated under a voice control from several authorized or genuine speakers will be performed in this project.
