Abstract

The main objective of this project is to reprocess waste tires for potential new products. The project was also to investigate new compositions discarded tires when mixed with the pellets of polypropylene. Experiments are conducted using tire powder crushed at 500μm measurement after filtered and mixed with polypropylene. The various percentage ratios between the matrix filler used tires is 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. Tire powder and polypropylenes are mixed and made specimens. Tests were carried out of the flexural testing, pin-on disc testing, mechanical testing and with some morphologies images by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
