Abstract
This report presents the development of 5.8GHz a cascaded front end Low Noise Amplifier receiver (LNA) suitable for IEEE standard 802.llg WLAN and 802.16 WiMAX. This amplifier used FHX76LP Low noise SuperHEMT device designed for DBS application from Eudyna Device USA Inc. The achieved gain of this Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) is 36.4 dB and Noise Figure of 1.2 dB. The bandwidth observed is 1024 MHz. This project uses Ansoft Designer Software and Advance Designer Software (ADS). With this development, the amplifier can be used as part of front end receiver for future Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and WIMAX at 5.8GHz.
