Abstract
This thesis is focus on development of 5.8 GHz bandpass filter and power divider based on IEEE802.11 a standard. The revolution and demand of WLAN technology have urged development of low cost, low power and smal l size transceiver by us ing microstrip technology. The increasing of WLAN applications resulting interference within the 2.4GHz ISM band and it is a major issue. The development of bandpass filter and power divider include calculation, simulation, testing and measurement of the filter and power divider parameters process. Simulation process in this project is us ing Ansoft Designer software to designed and simulated filter and power divider circuit. The filter should operate at center frequency of 5.75 GHz with 100 MHz bandwidth and insertion loss below 10 dB while the power divider should perform at frequency range of 5.7-5.9 GHz with insertion loss of 3.5 dB and output isolation -16 dB. The bandpass filter and power divider contributes to suite performance to other part of front-end transceiver for WLAN applications.
