Abstract
This study was designed to produce one of prosthesis to help some people with disabilities (OKU) after losing their leg above the thigh due to accident, illness or congenital defect. Design produced using the system "magnethoreological damper" and the system can absorb the vibrations and "magnethoreological damper" can also be substituted for the movement of muscles in the knee and ankle. Product development process carried out as providing product design, concept development, "system-level design",detailed design, performance testing using computer software, product design and improvement over the "ramp-up production. " As a result of the product development process, understanding of product and design of a prosthesis can be improved, and indirectly the quality of the resulting prosthesis.
