Abstract

The UTeM Faculty Event Management System is developed to address the inefficiencies in faculty event organization within Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). The current absence of a dedicated platform results in disorganized event oversight, poor communication with students about upcoming events, and a lack of structured validation processes for event coordination. This system aims to streamline the entire event lifecycle by providing a comprehensive management platform. The system facilitates the registration, validation, and publication of events, ensuring that students are well-informed and engaged. Administrators can manage all user details which are club, club advisor, event coordinator like JHEPA, JPM and TNC, while event coordinators validate submitted events through a structured process. Public users, including students, can easily view event details. The development methodology includes essential phases such as system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation, ensuring robust and efficient performance. By addressing the current challenges, this system enhances the efficiency of event management, reduces administrative burdens, and fosters a more vibrant academic community. The system's structured validation process improves event quality and relevance, and its real-time dashboard provides valuable insights into event participation. Ultimately, Faculty Event Management System revolutionizes event organization at UTeM, significantly improving student engagement and participation.
