Abstract
KinderCare is a system designed to enhance safety and optimize operations in kindergartens, providing a secure and supportive environment for children. This system addresses critical problems such as the high risk of children going missing during busy drop-off and pick-up times, mixing work and personal communication leading to missed messages, important details like allergies being overlooked, and inadequate security coupled with reliance on memory resulting in untracked children. KinderCare facilitates communication between parents and caregivers, offering rapid updates and fostering trust in the kindergarten experience. Utilizing IoT technology, the system integrates smart door locks and RFID-based check-in/check-out mechanisms to bolster security, particularly during peak times such as pick-up and drop-off. The primary objectives are to create a safer environment for children, improve parent-caregiver communication, and implement automated systems for administrative tasks and attendance monitoring via web application. The project encompasses various modules including user access, communication, attendance tracking, absence tracking, sickness management, parent notes, authorized pick-up, sickness checklist, behavior tracking, caregiver notes, and RFID parent in/out systems via mobile application. Targeting parents and caregivers, KinderCare aims to streamline kindergarten operations and ensure the safety and well-being of children. This innovative system represents a significant advancement in kindergarten management, addressing security concerns, simplifying administrative tasks, and enhancing communication between parents and caregivers. KinderCare seeks to revolutionize the kindergarten experience, offering peace of mind to both parents and caregivers.
