Abstract
Augmented reality (AR) gives a different approach in learning by combining real world and virtual world together. Students has the difficulty to master the Arabic language which is not the mother tongue in Malaysia. This project was trialed with 10 children to see the potential of augmented reality technology in teaching and learning Arabic language in the classroom. The proposed project has three goals: 1) to investigate the potential of AR tecnology on Arabic language in classroom. 2) to design and develop of AR application on Arabic language for primary school student. 3) to evaluate the usability of augmented reality application on Arabic language for primary school student. This project involves 10 primary school students to study the effectiveness of AR in learning Arabic language. Observation shows that AR has the potential to engage student to learn in the classroom. It is expected that the project can help students to more easily learn and easy to memorize what they have learned by using augmented reality technology.
