Abstract

The main purpose of this project is to develop a distributed computing in the cluster using the Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) in Windows Environment. The concept of distributed computing is a concept in which two or more computers should be combined into one super computer that seeks to operate by being able to run two or more processes quickly. Such clustered computer is one of the components in the concept of distributed computing. One of the purposes of this distributed computer is to use a set of storage nodes to solve the problem of validity in the computing system short in time. PVM is software that helps to run a distributed computing process. Among the benefits of using PVM is the big problems experienced by a computing process capable of overcoming as the memory size of each computer has been combined through PVM and is able to solve things briefly. Other than that, this project also determine and analyze the result reading from the benchmark software and application to prove that the client-server environment connected PCs will give the best result of performance speed between cluster since they are connected to share resource like RAM and memory to be as single supercomputer.
