Abstract

Order & Pay Coffee system is a dual-base information system which involved the web based system and mobile application that provide the service on coffee preordering and coffee shop management for customer and staff respectively. Coffee shop provide a place for people to relax their mind. However long queue for ordering during the peak hour had become a common problem which faced by most of the coffee shop. Besides, paper based management that used by most of the coffee shop had made the operation of coffee shop become difficult as unable to calculating the current ingredient and unable to alert the ingredients which under running out status. Moreover, graphical reports of every dimensions is difficult to be generate by using the paper based management. Therefore, Order & Pay Coffee system is develop in order to improve the management of coffee shop. Order & Pay Coffee system allow the customer to pre-order the food and drinks and just grab the ordered when reach the coffee shop. Besides, the system will alert the manager about those ingredients which at running out and generate the sales report in graphical way. Order & Pay Coffee system is develop by using MySQL and WampServer 2.5. The methodology being used is database lifecycle, which the development of the database is a cycle start from the analysis of the business environment until the testing of the system. Furthermore, functional and non-functional requirements are captured by interview the target user in order to design a proper database which include conceptual design, logical design and physical design. After the implementation, the system also being tested by various testing classes including black box and white box testing to validate and verify the system. In a nutshell, Order & Pay Coffee system had improve the management of coffee shop into more systematic and able to solve the problems which faced by the coffee shops.
