Abstract

This project is designed and developed for the system application to record and trach student attendance in mobile application via MAC Address recognition for lecturer to monitor student attendance in class session. Thus it can overcome the problems that exist and to replace the existing manual attendance system that uses the attendance printed paper sheets and less work for lecturer to enter all the attendance each subject for classes into Sistem Maklumat Pelajar (SMP). This application system need Wi-Fi/Hotspot connection in order to make the good communication between system application lecturer and system application student because each users use different system application. The communication between two different application systems used the Socket fundamental for transferring between them. Lecturer also can upload the attendance from their smartphone into web based application. All the information can be recorded attendance in SQLite locally storage and through server database called MySQL server. This system application will facilitate the presence of individual in institutions / organizations to make individual presence.
