Abstract
Virtual Reality (VR) is an attempt to immerse the user in a virtual environment, and this technology is becoming more advanced nowadays. Although it has been applied in a variety of areas, the cost of implementation is getting higher and higher which is not affordable for the small sectors. The purpose of this project is to study about virtual reality, and to develop and test the usability and user experience of teleconferencing in a VR application. The methodology of doing this project is Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The application is developed in four months by using Unreal Engine. A dedicated server is built to allow multiple users can access the application simultaneously through a local area network. The application is tested by randomly selected 10 testers. From the results of testing, the application gives the feeling of immersion to the users and it can be used for teleconferencing. This project indicates that teleconferencing can be conducted in VR. Further improvements can be done to expand the usefulness of the application and make it becomes a marketable product.
