Abstract

Sri Maju Online Bus Ticket System (SMOBTS) is built for admin who always need to manage their daily operation in a bus company and also for public who intend to book their desired trip online. The online ticket booking module is still not available in current system of Sri Maju. Public is inconvenient where they only can purchase Sri Maju bus ticket directly at the counter. On the other hand, admin who manage the daily route for the bus company has to take long time to settle all the routes and result in low performance of the bus company. Besides, it is difficult to access and update route without a computerize system. Therefore, the purpose to develop a computerized system is to replace the current manual tracking operation. The system enables public and admin to have easy and fast way in the online bus ticket business. The methodology used for the system is Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD). There are eight (8) modules developed in Sri Maju Online Bus Ticket System and the modules are depicted in the Use Case Diagram and Activity Diagram. Three-tier architecture was chosen because it is more flexible and high performance. Next, the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and business rule are produced during conceptual design. Finally, MySQL had been selected as the Database Management System of Sri Maju Online Bus Ticket System (SMOBTS).
