Abstract
In recent years, air pollution has become a big issue for the general public. Air pollution, which has a substantial impact on living beings and the environment, that have a negative impact on human health. Monitoring and analysing air pollution levels is essential for taking corrective measures. Current air monitoring systems only provide Air Pollution Index (API) at a location without identifying gases detected. This issue can be solved by designing a real time monitoring project that using Internet of Thing (IoT) to notify user the levels API and type of gasses detected. MQ135, MQ7, MQ9 and Honeywell gas sensors used in this work to measure the level of harmful gas such as ammonia, carbon monoxide gas, LPG gas, API and dust particles. The data from the gas sensors transferred via Long Range Radio (LoRa) communication system, with Arduino Nano controlling the sensors in transmitter circuit while Node MCUESP8266 WiFi module at receiver circuit, then the data uploaded to a cloud platform called ThingSpeak. Finding shows, the air monitoring system provide high reading of air pollution when locate this at busiest place and peak hour due to the polluted smoke produces by vehicles with the highest 185 AQI reading. Meanwhile, the receive data of LoRa communication, Received Signal Length Indicator (RSSI) value and frequency signal get affect when the distance increase.
