Abstract
Nowadays, power converter has become a famous topic of research. The topic recently discussed about new topologies on how to improve the power converter system. Commonly used power converter has certain drawbacks such as the power converter has high input current ripple. Therefore, this research will proposed modified dc-dc boost converter which will produced low input current ripple. Conventional dc-dc boost converter and modified dc-dc boost converter are analysed and compared in terms of input current ripple and efficiency. Other than that, Arduino microcontroller is used to control the conventional dc-dc boost and modified dc-dc boost converter circuit. Both circuits are designed using MATLAB Simulink and Proteus 8 Professional. The conventional dc-dc converter and modified dc-dc boost converter are developed and analysed. The output voltage and current waveforms and the input current ripple waveform are demonstrated in the report.
