Abstract
Internal combustion engine is a masterpiece of engineering which simplified high mechanical energy demand jobs like moving vehicle and machinery. However, till now, this type of engine incapable to convert heat energy from fuel combustion to mechanical energy efficiently. Small capacity engine like motorcycle engine having power transfer efficiency between 25 – 30% only. Therefore, this phenomenon gives encouragement to implement hybridization process. Hence this study with the aim to investigate the differences between Electric Motorcycle and ICE motorcycle. In addition, the distances that can be travelled by both types of motorcycles were studied. This study will record the total consumption of petrol in certain driving patterns. From the record that has been made, the total consumption of petrol can be identified and what type of motorcycle is more suitable to be used as the basic vehicle by the use of gasoline.
