Abstract

The issue of the ability of madrasah pupils to mix with other Singaporeans was raised by the government. The Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) commissioned a straw poll to have a sense on how the madrasah education system, which is outside the national system would affect the ability of its students to integrate in the society. The respondents from the madrasah cohort confirmed that they are well integrated into mainstream society. As minority, they can never isolate themselves from society and the necessities of life make them well immersed into the mainstream.
