Abstract
This study is to discuss the development of vehicle chassis for student formula racing car. The objective of this study was to design, analyze and fabricate the formula student racing car chassis. The software used for designing and analyzing the chassis is software CATIA V5 R19. The purpose of analyzing the chassis is to identify the strengths of the chassis. the materials used to build the chassis is PVC pipe.2 chassis design will be developed using CATIA software. The design of the chassis will fulfill the CATIA analysis and the specifications of UTeM Formula VarsityTM 2012(FV2012). Formula Varsity is an event to test students skills in designing, analyzing and fabricating a race car. The design is then fabricated using selected materials available. Processes such as cuttings, fittings and welding are performed in chassis mock up and fabrication. The mock up will be formed and fabrication of chassis will be conducted at the end with the best of analysis design.
