Abstract

This study is carried out to conduct design analysis and study the energy absorption of single point heel that cause a foot problem to human by using ANSYS Explicit Dynamic simulation software. It is important to improve the high heel shoe design in order to reduce the effects and improve the energy absorption. There are four different types of new high shoe design is proposed and analyzed in this study. There are three main factors have been taken into account in this study, which are the design of the high heel, weight and contact areas of high heel shoes. The existing design and new design proposed was modeled by using SolidWork 2010 software then imported into ANSYS Explicit Dynamic through the IGES file consist of CAD data. The design analysis of high heel shoes is simulated and analyzed in the ANSYS Explicit Dynamic V.14 and energy absorption calculated by using equation (1). Then, the results and simulation are compared to find the higher energy absorption among of the proposed design and related factors that influences energy absorption. It was found that the concept design four is better with higher energy absorption capability
