Abstract
Security is becoming one of the focal points of research as the rising popularity of network, intranet, and internet and most organizations are so lely depending on their internet services in day-to-day business management. However, malicious software or malware activity is increasingly threatened the network security. This has motivated research committee to undergo further research on intrusion detection and detecting the malware attack. The objective ofthis research is to analyze and profile the existing malware detection technique and formulate a new profile for malware detection technique. The research outcome will help the network administrator to detect and identify the intruder that initiates the malware attack. This research can be extended into research areas in alert correlation and computer forensic investigation.
