Abstract

The a1m of this project is to build a system to enable Coffee Passion Company headquarter to retrieve data or reports from its branches based on the request and respond concept. All the information will be sent in XML format which is easier to be managed and derived. From the previous practice, the Coffee Passion headquarter will access its branches database to retrieve data or records and this will enquiry the administrator to familiar with different kinds of database query language as the branches are using different database from the headquarter. This project is important for the Coffee Passion Company in requesting information from its branches as this system will help to reduce the time and make the requesting process more simple and flexible. In the mean time, this project will also improve the processing of performing task on the database and this will reduce the manpower and increase the work efficiency. The Waterfall Model development methodology has been chosen to give guidance and consistency throughout this project. This methodology will assist the project through a successful implementation. The information retrieval functionality is mainly developed for the use of Coffee Passion headquarter administrator while the other functionalities is built for both headquarter and branches usage. As a conclusion, this project will surely have a great significance and improvement made on the Coffee Passion Company administration management system.
